I was invited over to Ancient Siam in Samut Prakan this morning to watch a masked Khon performance. This is a kind of classical Thai dance style that acts out episodes in the Thai version of the Ramayana.
The youngest of the performers were only five years old. They were all very good and did a very good job, in particular the monkeys!
For the past few years, the people at Ancient Siam have been organizing various events for all of the major holidays. It is usually good to go there at any time of the year, but if they have an event on, then it would be a good idea not to miss.
