One of the main attractions on Koh Samui is the Big Buddha at Wat Phra Yai in the Northern part of the island.
The temple is built on a small rocky outcrop and connected to the mainland by a causeway.
The seated Buddha is 15 meters high and faces East. If you come in the afternoon, like we did, you will that the sun is in your eyes.
