This morning I went to the Provincial Courthouse in Samut Prakan. They had activities for Rapee Day for local students. They had things like quizzes on Thai law for them to take part in.

Some students also had an opportunity to watch a demonstration courtroom. It was a good opportunity for me to go along as you are not normally allowed to take pictures inside the courthouse.

This is a picture of the judge. In Thailand they don’t have a jury. He is using that tape recorder to keep a record of what the witnesses are saying. The court clerk then types it up for him.

This is a picture of the Chief Justice and other people from the courthouse. They will be back here tomorrow to pay homage to an image of Prince Rapee.
