This is the hotel on Patong Beach where we stayed on our first night. It is a winner of the 2010 Thailand Tourism Awards for Outstanding Performance for Resort Hotels in Southern Thailand.
The hotel is very environmentally friendly with their recycle program and herb gardens. They also have rooms that have specially fitted bathrooms for handicapped people. The doors on these rooms are also extra wide.
Songkran on Bangsaen Beach this weekend

If you missed out on the Songkran water fights last week or want a second round then head to Bangsaen in Chonburi for their Songkran Festival on the beach. As well ad the water fights, there are free concerts and fun & games on the beach. There is also a Sand Pagoda building competition.

100% Motorcycle Helmet Campaign

Today in Samut Prakan they kicked off a road safety campaign to get everyone wearing a helmet while riding a motorcycle. Free helmets were given out to everyone.
