I have to come here every 90 days to register my address and also once a year to renew my visa. But today I’m here as I’m doing their official website: http://www.SamutPrakan-Immigration.com
This is mussels fried in a batter with egg. It is very crispy which is the way I like it. Normally it is a bit gooey and undercooked. Best eaten with Sriracha spicy sauce.
Choice of lunch at school today was Noodle Soup with Pork balls (ก๋วยเตี๋ยวหมู Guay Teow Moo), Stir-fried Bamboo Shoot with Chicken (ผัดหน่อไม้ไก่ Pat Nor Mai Gai) and Soup with Squid (ต้มจืดกระหล่ำปลีใส่ปลาหมึก Tom Jeut Gra Lam Plee Sai Pla Meuk).
The floating market at Wat Saphan is not as big as Khlong Latmayom but still worth a visit if you are in the area. Open weekends from 9-5. If you are going to Taling Chan you can join a boat tour that includes a stop here.
You can join boat trips from Latmayom Floating Market for only 50 Baht. A longer route that visits 2 temples is 80 Baht. It runs weekends only. Another boat is only 10 Baht around the market.
This is wide noodles (sen yai) fried with chicken. Also has egg. This is 30 Baht and a seafood version is 40 Baht. Very nice.
Homestay is 1,500 Baht for 5 people in own house with fan and living room. Or 1,000 Baht for 3 people in shared house with air-con. Breakfast included. Telephone 02-887 8058.
A bit strange when I first saw this but like it a lot now. This cost 10 baht from a hawker cart.
