This is a very popular seafood restaurant on the main highway just north of the turn-off to Ayutthaya. The fresh-water shrimp here is good value for money.

Dramatic pictures at Sukhumwit Aquaduct #ThaiFlood

11 Oct

I’m at Sukhumwit Aquaduct in Samut Prakan. Pumps here working hard to get water from Suvarnabhumi Airport to the sea. The drainage canal is very full. Before it can be pumped up and over Sukhumwit Road & into the sea, the floating debris has to be cleared. As a result pumps are not working full time.

Rat Naa Mee Grob Jay

05 Oct

P192

This is the vegan version of the pork noodles in a thick gravy “rat naa”. I had “mee grob” which is the crispy egg noodles, though hopefully they bought the ones made without egg. It was actually quite good. Shame they won’t be selling it any more.
